(Ignore the tinyurl link on the bottom, as it no longer applies.)

Flier I made for No Shave November for my college last year.

No Shave November is pretty awesome. And manly. And so are disembodied beards.

For more information, go to movember.com. There is even info there about raising money for charities by growing your beard, and you can win prizes!

I've been not shaving since last summer. I plan on shaving once my hair (on my head that is) gets all the way back to where it was when I had to cut it. Which is about halfway down my back. So I can't participate. D:

Wow, that's long hair! Mine doesn't even go halfway down my back yet, and I've been growing it out!

But I have an odd question. haha. What does not shaving your face have to do with the hair on your head?

Oh not much normally. But somewhere along the line I decided I would wait until my hair was fully grown back out (it took forever to get that long before) to start shaving my face again. Then I would shave it like, every day until I had a big huge full-faced beard. Side-burns, moustache, chin, neck, all of it. I want to look like a Viking. 8D

Now I'm super confused! How will shaving give you a beard? XD

Shaving your beard helps it grow faster. Like pruning a bush or trimming the ends of your hair. It's like, agh I forget why it does that. But it has something to do with split ends and dead hair and weight of the hair and stuff.

Hmmm, I had always heard that was a myth.

Haha. No Shave November (or Movember, as it was called when originated in Australia), has been around for about 7 years now. So it wasn't exactly my idea. The poster was my idea, though!

Hahaha. When we did it last year, we told all the girls they could participate by wearing fake beards or mustaches, not shaving their legs, Photoshopping a picture of a beard onto a picture of their face (and using it for stuff like Facebook), or just spreading the word to male friends.
