This was a project for my advanced art class. Stippling. It is on a 15x12 sheet of paper.
It took forever to do (I had to turn it in late, but the teacher 'oked' it first), and I am amazed that I had the patience to do it (I have ADHD... that did not help). OH THE DOTS!!!
This is SO amazing. I can't veiw it full screen for some reason cuz it makes my browser freak out, but I was wondering did you scan or take a picture of this? Cuz it looks like there is a smudge or something near the top of the page.
I'm not exactly sure what it is, cuz its kinda hard to tell..Maybe it's just my screen? I dunno..please let me know lol.
I also love the "wear and tear" on his helmet, it just looks so damn cool. You should to Vader...>_>; lol
Oh, sorry, I forgot to mention how I got it on here in the description. Usually I put that on there. I skanned it in pieces (because it was too big for the scanner) and put it together using Photoshop. It was very difficult, and it might not be put together perfectly. (I think I will put that in the description sometime soon.)
The smudge is from a bit of pencil smuding when I was drawing the original outline and guidelines and stuff. I tried to get rid of most of that in Photoshop, but I was doing it on a different computer that had a much brighter monitor, and you couldn't tell that the smudges were there. So, I just haven't really got around to fixing it yet. I probably will sometime.
Thanks, I really liked that, too. I think it makes him look more "badass," so to speak. heh.
Hah, I actually thought about doing pointalisms of more Star Wars characters, or just any character in general, but I'm not sure if I will. It really takes a long time and I might get rather tired of it, but who knows, I could do more some day.
Wow, you must have some awesome Photoshop skills. I'm still learning myself, there's like so many aspets and stuff to it!
And I could see how you could possibly get tired or bored of doing it. I feel the same sometimes if I'm working on something and it takes a long time and eventually I just get tired of working on it.
But I look forward to seeing more pieces like this from you in the future!
Well, I'm only so-so compared to most people on DeviantArt. heh. People are freaking crazy here. But yeah, I am fairly good at it. At least, I can put a picture together (which is such a freaking tedious thing to do! ).
Yeah, making a picture completely out of dots, one by one, is definately one of those things that can get on your nerves. I did love that project, though... mostly after it was done. hehe.
